Lemme dance you a picture is experimental dance performance investigating unique interpretations of Kandinsky's different artwork to demonstrate and explore intuitive movement improvisation through Kathak dance.

The first edition of this experiment was performed in collaboration with Harkat Studio, Mumbai.

Designed to deepen inner connections, this 3 part series workshop explored the exciting opportunities of movement exploration. Mentored by contemporary choreographer Leah Rapheal Curits and Sugandh Lamba, participants embraced spontaneity and creativity as they journey through a series of gentle, playful improvisational activities, designed to enhance mind-body connection. With live music setting the stage, participants got an opportunity to discover their own unique performance style and language.

This performance was a collaboration with Gauri Devi Riggan's highly acclaimed performing arts company Cirque de India. The company is known for revitalizing Indian classical art forms with innovation and imagination, to infuse tradition with the magic of the circus.

The Raindance is a journey through seasons, told through dance and music. Instead of following one story, the performance helps the audience feel the changes in nature—growth, struggle, and renewal.

With the Nyatiti—a traditional Kenyan instrument—and Kathak—an Indian classical dance form—The Raindance explored how movement and music can heal, restore, and connect us.

Produced by INT Aditya Birla Centre for Performing Arts, 'The Stalemate' is a psychological thriller theatre piece on a literal rotating chessboard, with powerful storytelling, striking stagecraft, and an extraordinary blend of Kathak and Kalaripayattu.

This performance was presented collaboration with the renowned theatre group AK Various. SURYAST pays tribute to motherhood, capturing the anticipation of mother eagerly waiting for her child to return home before sunset. This movement piece was featured in AK Various's 25th Anniversary celebration and is set for several performances in 2026.

For Alti Palti's first edition, Sugandh curated the festival's dance programming, with a focus on solo work. She looked for pieces built around a strong, singular voice, dance that could hold a room on its own, without the scale of an ensemble to lean on. The selection reflected the same instinct that runs through her own practice: work that stays curious rather than resolved, and finds weight in the ordinary.
